The Overview
Bustang—Colorado's interregional express bus service—needed a complete digital overhaul. Their legacy website suffered from heavy redundancy, disjointed navigation, and a poor mobile experience. For riders trying to check schedules, review fares, or track routes on the go, finding critical information involved too much friction. The objective was to modernize the visual aesthetic while completely restructuring the information architecture for transit users in transit.
The Strategy & Execution
Partnered with agency Blennd, the redesign prioritized the core user journeys: schedules, routes, maps, fares, and ticketing.
Consolidated Architecture: Merged disparate pages for route details, schedules, stops, and fares into unified individual route hubs.
Enhanced Mapping & Alerts: Integrated intuitive interactive maps and structured service alerts through dynamic website banners and real-time feed updates.
Streamlined Ticketing: Simplified access channels for the Bustang and Outrider apps alongside Justride destinations.
Scalable Backend: Migrated and optimized the platform on WordPress to empower the internal team with dynamic, ongoing content management tools.
The Impact
The transformed digital platform successfully bridges the gap between digital convenience and real-world transit reliability. Riders now enjoy a frictionless, mobile-optimized experience that accelerates journey planning, while Bustang gains a resilient operational foundation to communicate service disruptions and scale alongside future growth.
